- Professional Development
- In order to provide the highest level of care to our patients, we must never stop learning/ getting better at what we do. Professional Development funds allow team members to attend training and continued education courses. The Foundation has sent numerous team members, from nurses to environmental service staff, to professional conferences and educational trainings. We hope to continue to do so.

- Foundation Initiatives
- The CHI St. Joseph Health Foundation is charged with raising funds to purchase equipment complementing our mission of service. Currently, the Foundation is raising funds for two important initiatives.
-
- Advancing Technology and Saving Lives: Raising Funds for a 3D Mammography Machine. 3D mammography has become the standard in mammography and saves lives through the detection of breast cancer in earlier stages compared to traditional mammography machines. 3D mammography also delivers fewer false-positive results. An additional 3D mammography machine will directly save the lives of mothers, wives, daughters and sisters living in the Brazos Valley.
-
- Patient Outcomes First: Raising Funds for the da Vinci XI Surgical Robot. The da Vinci XI’s capabilities extend further and accommodate a larger range of surgeries than previous da Vinci models. This means shorter hospital stays, less risk of infection and fewer complications. Additionally, less medication is required to manage pain post-surgery, directly impacting the current opioid crisis facing our nation.
