If you suspect that you have COVID-19, we recommend that you call your primary care physician to explain your symptoms and find a location to go for testing. If you are having difficulty breathing or other life-threatening symptoms, please call 911 or visit a local emergency room, but call ahead to let them know to take precautions.
COVID-19 Testing in the Brazos Valley
Aside from your CHI St. Joseph Health primary care physician, there are other options for COVID-19 testing. The Texas Department of State Health Services offers a map tool to help you find your nearest testing site. Many of these locations require you to call ahead and register and assign a timeframe for you to arrive, so follow all instructions on the website before visiting the designated location.
Preparing for Testing
Remember that there might be long lines at these testing sites, and you may not have access to a bathroom. Consider bringing the following things with you:
- Water (not too much, as restroom facilities may be limited)
- Snacks
